As a startup, we are working hard towards a more ethical future for our brand and the importance of adopting more sustainable practices in everyday business is important to us on a personal level.
The beauty and self-care industry is a large contributor to single-use waste. Here at Exelix, we look for ways to avoid single-use plastic, produce recyclable, biodegradable and even compostable packaging, utilise safe-to-use components with a zero tolerance for toxic or harsh chemicals and practicing small-footprint, small-batch production from start to finish.
As we mature as a brand, we pledge to adopt as many sustainable practices as we can without compromising the effectiveness, hygiene and quality of our products.
About Exelix patches:
Yes, they are 100% safe. Our silicone patches have been dermatologist tested. Formulated through innovation and technology and backed by science, Exelix patches are processed using the same medical grade silicone used on scarring and implants making the quality and hygiene of the patches the highest of standards.
If you are allergic to silicone or get irritated from adhesives like bandaids and other plasters, please cease use and consult a medical professional.
When using our patches you’ll notice visible improvements on your skin’s texture and tone even after one use, but over time and with regular use, you will notice heightened levels of hydration in your skin due to the occlusion of the patch, which plumps your skin and gives it that healthy glow.
Frequent and consistent use (along with a healthy lifestyle of course) is required if you’re looking to smooth out deep set wrinkles or expression lines, which take time to plump. Whilst you wear them, the ironed out effect of the patch also helps keep your skin in place, preventing more fine lines from forming.
Exelix Skin Smoothing patches are made from the same medical grade silicone doctors and surgeons use to treat burns, scarring and implants and the adhesive is made from 100% natural silica gel.
Silica is a naturally derived mineral vital for the body as it supplies our cells with nutrients and keeps us hydrated. It acts as a glue that sits inside collagen and helps bond protein molecules – this provides strength and elasticity to your skin and is responsible for retaining water; a critical factor in cell renewal and repair. So what does this mean for the patch’s adhesive?
In short, silica gel is one of the most powerful anti-aging ingredients that helps to regenerate the skin by keeping it deeply hydrated.
Exelix Skin Smoothing patches are not tested on animals and vegan too!
Silicone is made from naturally derived substances therefore isn’t toxic to aquatic or soil organisms. This means that it’s harmless to the planet and our oceans unlike plastic, and although silicone is a recyclable material,there is no official way to recycle it in Australia, just yet.
If you wish to find out more about the possibility of disposing your patches through recycling, it is best to contact your local recycling plant and ask if they accept silicone products as it varies from region to region.
Furthermore, we are working hard towards a more sustainable and ethical future. With this said, our first initiative is to offer a recycling scheme where you’re able to send back your used silicone patches and we appropriately dispose of them for you through our official recycling partners.
All Exelix products are designed in Australia.
Our patches are however produced in China – partnered with a highly experienced and long standing manufacturer of silicone used for the hospital and health sector, we work closely with our manufacturing partners to ensure that all processes undertaken to produce our patches are adhered to strict quality control, every step of the way.
Furthermore all of our products have been rigorously tested and certified by SGS, the world’s largest verification, inspection, testing and certification provider headquartered in Switzerland.
We recommend doing a patch test before use if you have sensitive skin. Simply place the patch on your upper forearm for at least 1 hour to test. Should you develop any irritation, cease use and consult your physician.
Our Exelix Skin Smoothing Patches expire after 2 years.
We have expecting mothers who cannot use retinols, injectable and other intensive treatments typically used during their term, so they have found our patches to be the perfect solution. Many, however make the permanent switch and never go back, given the price difference and instant results they experience!
Yes! We have lots of men that use our patches (perhaps not the upper lip patches) as the beard tends to get in the way, but the forehead and eye patches are extremely popular.
We also have a wide age range that have fallen in love with our patches. Whether you’re looking for a preventative measure that fights against the signs of aging or need an effective and injection-free way to improve the appearance of wrinkled skin, Exelix patches are for you!
Furthermore, we have a growing number of fans who have turned to our patches after experiencing a bad reaction to botox. Some have even had adverse reactions that were life threatening!
There are a growing number of similar products out on the market as people become more aware of their effectiveness. However there are a few things you should look out for when deciding on where to buy your patches from.
Here are a few tips:
- Make sure the patches are a high quality 100% pure medical grade silicone and that no harsh chemicals or additives are present in the adhesive and the patch itself.
- Exelix patches have one of the thickest silicone layers on the market; up to 3x thicker than our competitors, which means more hydration and longer lasting results!
- Some competitors use a glue-like texture to make the adhesion last longer, but we recommend that you be wary of unidentified or potentially harmful ingredients that could do more damage than good to your skin.
Remember to always wear the patches on cleansed and dry skin that’s free from any products such as serums and creams. But that doesn’t mean you have to leave your skincare regime behind!
In the evenings, apply your products on the exposed skin, around the patches and in the mornings, take off your patches and immediately apply your moisturizers, serums in order to prolong hydration in your skin! And don’t forget your sunscreen!
It’s totally up to you how often you wish to wear your patches but the more frequently you wear them, the better the results. We recommend wearing them at least 2x week!
As with everything in life, we believe in a holistic approach to having healthy, beautiful skin. There’s no such thing as a miracle cure to completely reversing the signs of aging permanently and safely, but what we do promote is making sure you take care of your skin not only superficially but just as importantly, from the inside-out!
We believe that our products are an aid for customers worldwide, to achieve smoother skin with the help of a healthy diet, regular exercise and staying hydrated.
Some patches target sensitive areas such as the under eye area where the skin is thin. Therefore, be careful when removing the patches around delicate areas.
To properly remove from your skin, use your fingers to keep the skin tort and let it guide you when gently peel off the patch, bit by bit.
How to use Exelix patches:
The technology behind our solution is simple…Made from 100% medical grade silicone, our patches work on ironing out creases and wrinkles that form on the face, by helping to keep the skin tort as well as to draw up moisture from deep within in order to reduce the chances of wrinkles from forming.
Wearing the patches on targeted areas, creates an ideal microclimate between you and the silicone, which enables the skin’s elasticity structure and firmness to rejuvenate and improve, through locking in moisture and increasing blood flow to the surface. Read more about the science here.
The patches must be applied to clean, dry skin in the areas specified. If we don’t offer the exact shape you need you can always cut the patches to fit the exact area you want it for.

Exelix Patches are reusable up to 10x and sometimes even more with proper care! However, after the adhesive fully wears off we recommend you switching to new patches, both for hygiene purposes and better adhesion.
The patches were designed to look and feel like a second layer of skin hence why they are so soft. During the trial phase, 95% of the people who tested our products did not feel any discomfort whilst wearing them overnight.
As our patches have been made to withstand all types from side sleepers to toss and turners, there’s always a chance that it loses adhesion due to too much friction. If this happens, lift the patch, let the area dry and re-apply.
If you sweat in your sleep and notice the patch isn’t adhering, gently lift the patch and allow the area to air dry before reapplying. If you find the adhesion is affected and not sticking anymore, we recommend rinsing the patch under running water and allowing it to air dry completely before reapplying.
To maximize the adhesion of your patches, make sure they’re applied to cleansed and dry skin. Each morning after use, put your patch adhesive side down on the storage shield, and keep the storage shield in a place away from dust, fluff and animal hair.
To clean the patch, rinse them under water (use mild soap if you wish) and allow them to completely dry before reapplying onto skin or back onto the storage shield.
Prior to Patch application, we recommend washing your skin with an oil-free cleanser to ensure the skin is completely free of any moisturizing agents.
It may also be beneficial to exfoliate the skin as dead skin cells can build up over time, which may prevent optimal adhesion.
We do not recommend using any product (particularly oils!) under the patches as they may irritate the skin and will interfere with patch adhesion.
Upon removal of our patches (especially when worn overnight), some women may experience a rosy glow to the skin – this is due to an increase in hydration and blood flow in the skin, which usually dissipates within a few minutes.
Due to the nature of our patches, they can affect those with allergies to adhesives or silicones or those who have very sensitive skin. If this is you, you may experience slight redness or irritation and should discontinue use until speaking with your physician.
If you are unsure, do a patch test before use.
Do not use the patches on open wounds, infected areas or rashes.
After use, rinse your patches under cold water (with mild soap if necessary), removing any particles and allow to dry – sticky side up. Place patches back onto the storage sheet provided.

Your Skin Smoothing patches will ship within 1-2 business days of receiving your order.
We use Standard Australia Post for all domestic shipping which on average takes up to 5-7 business days for delivery.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase and wish to return your patches, please contact us within 7 days from receiving your order. Any product that is brand new and unopened can be returned for a full refund.
Please email us with your order number as well as the reason for your return; they will schedule the return and provide you with the necessary information to move forward. We’re sorry but any shipping charges are non-refundable.
All return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer.
Although this is rarely the case, please email us within 7 days from receiving your order if you receive a product that is defective, incorrect, damaged or missing so we can rectify the situation as soon as possible!
To ensure a smooth and hassle free return, please include your order number, photographs of the item(s) and all related references upon receiving your package. We will do our very best to resolve your case as soon as we can!
As our team is still small and everything is done in-house, processing returns takes up to 2-3 business days from the day we receive your return. You should receive a confirmation email once your return has been processed!
Any refunds will be credited to your original form of payment. If you paid by credit or debit card, refunds will be sent to the card-issuing bank within 5-7 business days of receiving the returned item.
